Post 6: How is my local public library using social media?

My local Library is Randwick City Council Library. The social media the Library uses are Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Pinterest.

The facebook page of Randwick City Council Library has phots and posts of current and past events in the library and posts about the services the Library provides news. Randwick local council events in the community memorable photos and information about historical events have been posted.Information about the Library and contact details with address and a location map is provided. The Randwick City Council Library links to its twitter account which is the official page of Danny Said the Randwick Mayor. Its about Randwick council events and news which includes photos, videos, hyperlinks to other websites with more information. Twitter account users can reply comments, like, retweet and share. Twitter page has location of council, council website, twitter followers and those following the twitter page. https://twitter.com/randwickmayor

The youtube page site of Randwick City council Library gives information about the 3 local Libraries, Bowen Library in Maroubra, Margaret Martin Library Randwick and Malabar community Library. It has a youtube video on how to use the Library app. There are also youtube videos about the Library collection, facilities and services. The Randwick City Library has on its pinterest page a mention of having about approximately 175000 books, DVDs, CDs, magazines and toys that can be borrowed from any of the 3 Libraries. Also has important information about topics including quotes and photos of famous authors and their published works. It lists the number of followers and the number of those following the Randwick City Council Pinterest site. Post 10: Commenting on another blog

  I commented on Sharon the teachers blog about the cinema. I answered Sharons question about what is the last movie I watched. My answer is: The last movie I watched was Dora the explorer it was awesome. Isabelle Moner is a very good actor who plays the character Dora in the Movie.  I watched the movie at the Randwick Ritz Cinema before covid19. I enjoyed the movie.

Post 3: Social media considerations/issues

One issue is privacy for the user. If people disclose personal information it can be collected by criminals and use to commit fraud or criminal activity. Copy right is a big issue in social media especially face. Intellectual property can be breached if an individual posts material as their own without permission. A technical issue is if don't have access to technology with a lot of data can't use the social media.
